Connection and Setup Instructions

Connection and Operation:

1. Use the included 3.5mm cable to connect your headphones, or use an RCA cable (not included) to connect the PROZOR DAC to your stereo audio system. (Avoid RCA cables longer than 10 meters, as excessive length may cause signal loss or audio delay.)

2. Use the USB cable to connect the power port of PROZOR DAC converter to a certified 5V/1A DC power adapter (not included).

3. Set your device’s digital audio output to PCM or LPCM format. (TV Settings → Audio → Digital Output → PCM)

Note: This DAC is designed for standard 2.0-channel analog speaker systems, and supports PCM / LPCM audio formats only. It does not support Dolby, DTS, or 5.1-channel digital audio. You will only get sound if your TV or media player can downmix 5.1 to PCM stereo.

Most TVs output a fixed-volume digital signal via the optical (SPDIF) port, which does not support volume control. As a result, the TV remote cannot adjust optical output volume, unless the TV specifically supports this feature.

Other Operational Issues:

Not working? No sound after connecting?

1. If the power light is ON but there’s no sound: Check that your source device (TV, TV Box, game console, etc.) is set to PCM / LPCM audio output. This DAC does not support Dolby, DTS, or 5.1 formats.

2. If the power light is OFF: Ensure the power cable is firmly connected. Avoid powering the DAC through a low-power USB port (e.g., TV).

Why is there no sound or only static noise after connecting?

• Ensure your TV/audio device is set to PCM or LPCM output format.

• Use a certified 5V 1A wall adapter to power the DAC.

• Keep RCA cables under 10 meters to avoid audio delay or signal loss.

Does this DAC work with Netflix, YouTube, or streaming apps?

Most streaming platforms (like Netflix or Disney+) default to Dolby or 5.1 surround, which this DAC cannot decode.

Therefore, please make sure to set your TV’s audio output to PCM format for proper sound decoding.

What if my streaming app outputs 5.1 surround sound?

You’ll only get sound if your TV or media player can downmix the 5.1 signal into PCM stereo.Otherwise, you may hear no sound or static.

• For Dolby / 5.1 surround, check out our upgraded model with built-in decoding.

Why can’t I control the volume through the remote control?

Most TVs output fixed-volume audio via the optical (SPDIF) port. SPDIF doesn’t support volume control, so the TV remote usually has no effect.

To adjust volume:

• Use your amplifier or speaker knob

• Or choose our upgraded DAC with volume control

Why is the volume low with headphones or small speakers like studio headphones or desktop speakers?

This DAC provides line-level output (~2V RMS), which works well with most audio systems. Some devices may need a stronger signal to reach optimal volume.

• For louder, clearer output, try our upgraded model with a built-in amplifier and volume knob.

PROZOR DAC Converter

  • PROZOR 192KHz Digital to Analog Audio Converter: Converts coaxial or toslink digital PCM audio signals to analog L/R RCA and 3.5mm Jack audio simultaneously ( not capable of being reversed)
  • Input Audio Connector: 1 x Toslink, 1 x RCA (Coaxial); Output Audio Connector: 2 x RCA(R/L), 1 x 3.5mm Jack; Powered by 5.5mm USB Power Cable (Power Adapter is NOT Included); Do Not Use Other Plugs, It Can Only Use 5V 1A Plug
  • Up to 192KHz/24bit: Supports Sampling Rate at 32KHz, 44.1KHz, 48KHz, 96KHz, 192KHz; 24bit S/ PDIF Incoming Bit Stream on Left and Right Channels
  • Supports Uncompressed 2 channel LPCM or PCM Digital Audio Signal Output; Provides Electromagnetic-noise-free Transmission(5.1 channel is incompatible, please set the audio output to PCM or LPCM)
  • Easy to Install and Simple to Operate; Can be Used for PS3, PS4, Blu-ray Player, HD DVD, Home Cinema Systems, AV Amps, Etc
  • The TV is connected to the sound system through the optical interface, so the volume button on the remote control cannot be directly used to adjust the output volume of the TV optical. (If the TV supports this feature which depends on the TV itself ) The TV optical output volume can be adjusted on the Settings of the TV system. For example, one of SONY’s TV setting path: Settings → sound Settings → advanced Settings → all → digital audio output volume.
  • Electrical noises/Audio delay? Electrical noises: The DAC only supports PCM input format, other formats will cause noise Audio delay: Do not use RCA lines longer than 10 meters
