With the RP-8000 MK2 we introduce the most advanced DJ turntable ever, developed in close collaboration with international turntable artists. The turntable was designed for seamless integration into Serato DJ Pro and offers the possibility to operate up to 7 performance modes via the pad section. In the unique Platter Play mode, the pads can also be used to control the speed of the platter to create melodies. PAD SECTION WITH 7 NEW PERFORMANCE MODES

Designed for use with Serato DJ Pro, the RP-8000 MK2 opens up unprecedented creative possibilities in a DVS setup thanks to seamless Plug ‘n’ Play integration. The 8 large pads with RGB lighting offer control over 7 performance modes (cue, sampler, saved loops, pitch play, loop, loop roll, slicer) as well as 2 user modes, which can be adapted to individual preferences. With the multi-encoder, browsing can also be controlled directly from the turntable and tracks can be conveniently loaded into the respective deck. Thanks to its MIDI compatibility, the RP-8000 MK2 can communicate with any MIDI-capable DJ software – an additional controller for operating performance modes is therefore no longer necessary.

STATIC BALANCED S TONEARM WITH NEWLY DEVELOPED TONEARM BASE

The RP-8000 MK2 features a statically balanced, S-shaped tonearm with hydraulic lift and anti-skating mechanism. The newly developed tonearm base is even more stable and can be adjusted in height (VTA). The tonearm of the RP-8000 MK2 is characterized by the particularly low-resonance, satin-finish material and comes with a universal connection for pickup systems (SME).

PLATTER PLAY – CREATIVE CONTROL OF THE SPEED OF THE PLATTER

The Platter Play mode allows the speed of the platter to be controlled via the performance pads and opens up new possibilities for musical live performances, allowing the RP-8000 MK2 to be used like an instrument. There are a total of 22 scales and 34 notes to choose from with the option to create up to 9 custom scales. The two speed selection buttons are used in Platter Play mode for the pitch bending function and allow the pitch of the audio material being played to be increased or decreased in semitone steps. In addition, the speed of the turntable can also be controlled via an external MIDI keyboard.

HIGH RESOLUTION PITCH SECTION WITH DIGITAL FADER

The pitch can be easily read and adjusted via the precise pitch scale. In addition to the classic pitch ranges +/-8% and +/-16%, the ultra-pitch setting +/-50% can also be used with the RP-8000 MK2. This can be used, for example, to creatively influence the pitch of the record being played. When Quartz Lock is activated, the speed of the record being played is unaffected by the position of the pitch fader.

POWERFUL ENGINE WITH EXTENSIVE ADJUSTMENT POSSIBILITIES

The quartz-controlled hybrid turntable instrument is equipped with a strong upper-torque direct drive. By fine-tuning the motor control using digital correction, it was possible to further reduce the wobble in the RP-8000 MK2, which leads to particularly smooth running. The starting torque is infinitely adjustable in the range of 2.8 – 4.5 kg/cm, as is the stopping speed in the range of 0.2 – 6 seconds. The heavy, precision-machined, die-cast aluminum platter was designed to reduce vibration and Resonances provided with a rubber insert.

INDESTRUCTIBLE & ROBUST HOUSING CONSTRUCTION

The housing of the RP-8000 MK2 has been additionally stiffened and weighted using metal, rubber and plastic elements. This makes the turntable very insensitive to vibrations, for example caused by the loud bass reproduction in the DJ booth. Shock-absorbing feet on the underside of the turntable add further isolation. The surface has been finished with a high-quality, hard-wearing paint that is particularly scratch-resistant. Visually, the RP-8000 MK2 impresses with its timeless finish in deep black metallic.

HIGH QUALITY CONNECTIONS AND ADDITIONAL OUTPUT

Thanks to the recessed connection cavity, the RP-8000 MK2 can be easily installed in the case and set up seamlessly on adjacent devices. The additional output allows the turntable to be connected to two mixers at the same time and also allows easy switching from DVS to vinyl. An optional ground connection provides additional protection for club environments. All cable connections (cinch/mains cable) are detachable and therefore easy to replace, which also makes it easier to transport the turntable.

REAL TIME LCD DISPLAY

In addition to the creative innovations, the RP-8000 MK2 has everything you can imagine in a DJ turntable. A digital LC display is used to show pitch, BPM, deck assignment, scales and notes, elapsed/remaining running time of the current track and firmware settings. In Serato DJ Pro, for example, the current BPM value of a track can be displayed so that the tracks can be precisely adjusted without looking at the computer.
