How to Tune the Banjo?

The most common banjo type is a 5 string banjo and has a standard tuning in open G – the notes from the 5th string to the 1st are G, D, G, B, D. This is referred to as “Open G” Tuning because the banjo is tuned to an open G chord, meaning that if you strum the banjo without fingering any of the strings on the neck you will be playing a G chord. The clip-on tuner in the pack will help you with the tuning.

Accented with white jade pegs and geared 5th tuner, this ADM classic 5-string banjo is easy to tune. To avoid damage in transportation, the banjo hasn’t been tuned yet.

How to Position Your Bridge?

Step 1

Measure the distance from the nut to the twelfth fret.

Step 2

Measure the same distance from the twelfth fret onto the Drum Head of banjo.

Step 3

Make a small pencil mark. This gives you the correct scale length and marks the correct place to position the bridge.

Step 4

Leave a small pencil mark and then Installation of the bridge. This gives you the correct scale length and marks the correct place to position the bridge.

Adjustable Banjo neck

ADM banjo features adjustable truss rod design allows every player to keep the neck straight by countering the pull of the strings and natural tendencies in the wood.

When the action is too low, loosen the nut outside of the rim and tighten the nut inside the rim. Strings will go up from the fingerboard.

If the action is too high, loosen the nut inside the rim and tighten the outside nut. Strings will go down to the fingerboard.

Open Back & Resonator Banjo

ADM 5 string banjo can not only be a resonator banjo but also an open back banjo by detaching the back of banjo. The resonator banjo produces a mellower, softer sound while the open back banjo style produces a very bright sound. Two different style of banjo is to meet the different demand of player.
