After connecting the webcam into the MacBook Air, do I need to select the Depstech Webcam when opening a video software?

Yes, you need to manually select the device named Depstech Webcam.

Why can’t I use the Zoom function?

Zoom function is available at 1080P resolution. Please change the resolution of the video software to 1080P or below.

How to disable autofocus?

You can click the Auto/Fixed focus button on the remote control to disable the autofocus.
