Simply remove the buttons already on the guitar and replace them with the strap lock buttons. Place the screw with the washer through the button and felt pad. Wax the end of the screw and place it in the guitar. Use a manual screwdriver to carefully insert the strap lock until snug. Do the same thing on the other end. Use the spring-loaded piece to put the strap on or remove it. Besides chrome, this Fender strap lock also comes in black and gold finishes. Its dimensions are 1.1×2.85×5 inches and it weighs 0.125lbs
